CITY CLERK

Essential Services and Information


The  city clerk prepares and distributes meeting notices, agendas, minutes  and filing of official notices.  In addition the city clerk performs  voter registration activities as well as accepts filing for candidacy in  municipal elections, officially swears in the public officials and  employees and is the custodian of all official city records.


The city clerk’s office handles a variety of responsibilities, to  include; issuance of all business and liquor licenses, occupancy permits  and pet tags as well as the park reservations.  The city clerk is  responsible for the human resource duties and the accounts receivable  and payable.



The city clerk also provides administrative, legislative, and secretarial support to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
